TOM

TOM is a global network of communities dedicated to improving people’s lives by making affordable, open-source technology accessible to all.

TOM empowers local communities of Makers to apply innovation and technology to solve unmet challenges that people with disabilities face. TOM creates an impact locally and globally by bringing together like-minded people around a shared vision of a more inclusive world.

TOM: Ben Gurion University is the heart of the TOM Community in the Negev area, which runs the TOM Process in the region. Most of our volunteers are students from different subjects who leverage their skills, expertise, and knowledge to help people with disabilities. Furthermore, through the different TOM activities, students are building authentic connections, creating and disseminating open-source solutions for the needs of people with disabilities in the region.
